There and back again

I have written many a blog. I remember writing it all in html back when I was in college. Every student at the time was given their own web space. All I had to do was telnet into a server, create a web folder and anyone could go to “univerity.edu/~myuserid” and the would see my page. I thought that was so cool. I rarely had anything useful to say. I was too busy using “talk” to talk with friends. on the network and eventually used my own chat client to hop onto aol chat, etc.

I then kept a log in hand written form for ages after I graduated with an undergrad degree. But eventually I started a blog again when it was a requirement for my research project at UCSD. I had to keep a log of my work each week. It was a very effective way to learn that form of writing and building the discipline of actually documenting your work so you can at minimum see you are making progress (research is an arduous and thankless enterprise).

Since I completed my degree and moved on, I used many other methods of blogging; but very private.

But now, as I’ve aged and experienced so much, I want to get back to this written form and method of sharing. So, here I am again. Welcome back again.
