Hello Manim

I have been a big fan of 3B1B with the content, delivery, artistic nature and the technical skill required to convey such difficult topics. I also enjoy teaching and sharing knowledge with others, especially to my kids.

I want to be able to provide the quality of material that 3B1B can provide as it relates to math concepts. One of my daughters is starting Calculus this year in high school and I find it’s time to start sharing what I’ve taught her and hopefully to others as time goes by.

I can of course use pen and paper or white board (you will always see me near one at work). But it’s modern times and, well, “kids these days” aren’t into seeing someone at the white board.

Therefore I decided to just checkout manim. I’d refer you to check out the history behind it, how it’s a branch(-ish) from Grant’s code.

I followed the installation instructions, and within a few minutes I created a video (using their quickstart). I added just this equation, $$e^{-i \pi} = -1$$

Okay, so, that wasn’t that exciting or original. But, I think it may be a good outlet for me to share some knowledge.
